Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage the Anaheim Emergency Shelter’s day-to-day operations. You will supervise the Operations Lead, Lead Assistant, Ambassadors, and DOT drivers, ensuring intake and pet policies are followed and staff are trained.

You will collaborate with the Program Supervisor to improve protocols, manage budgets, and respond to emergencies. A 75k–78k salary reflects seniority and nonprofit guidelines for this role.

Qualifications

• MBA or Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience managing facility operations and supervising staff.
• Knowledge of HMIS or other tracking database systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop and supervise Operational Leads, Assistant Operational Leads, Ambassadors, and DOT drivers. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate monthly staff meetings and oversee shuttle routes.
• Develop Ops Leads and Assistant Ops Leads as future successors and ensure compliance with policies.
• Manage vendor services, budgets and maintain data tracking systems; review grievances and incidents.
• Be on call 24/7 for emergencies and respond to on-site or on-call incidents.
