Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician in Cedar Hill, TX. The role involves basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft structures, reading blueprints, working from drawings, fastening systems, procedures and techniques.

On-site, full-time position with opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates have knowledge of sheet metal processes, and 0-5 years of experience for Journeyman level, with 5+ years for Master level. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing and dimpling)
• Journeyman: 0-5 years of experience as sheet metal technician.
• Master: 5+ years’ experience as a sheet metal technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools.
• Use basic computer skills to access training, manuals, and maintenance data.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Other duties as assigned.
