Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to perform sheet metal duties on airframe components at our on-site facility.

The role requires basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft structures, reading blueprints, and fastening systems, with a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities include drilling, riveting, cutting, sealant application, and maintaining shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant license not required but welcome.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or valid passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling).
• Journeyman: 0–5 years of experience as sheet metal technician; Master: 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Safely operate shop equipment (brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, hand tools).
• Communicate effectively in English; follow supervisor directions.
