Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to contribute to turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints and drawings, and work from technical procedures. You may help supervise crews and set priorities for projects.

Education: a high school diploma or equivalent, and an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a passport is ideal but not mandatory; prior sheet metal experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for airline travel and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Use basic computer systems to access training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
