Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician III in Addison, TX to operate on turbine aircraft structures, interpret blueprints, and support assembly and repair work in a hangar environment.

You will participate in supervising crews, organizing manpower, and prioritizing projects while adhering to FAA guidelines. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, and an Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred; prior sheet metal experience is valuable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
• Prior experience with sheet metal operations preferred.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures, blueprints, drawings, fastening systems, procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Use basic computer skills to access training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English and follow supervisor directions.
