Job summary

West Star Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician for the 2nd shift. You will perform sheet metal operations on airframe components, read blueprints, and work from drawings to support airframe maintenance tasks.

The role requires basic to advanced knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, with a focus on safety and FAA guidelines. This full-time position offers benefits and growth in a small-team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (forming, drilling, riveting, cutting).
• Journeyman: 0-5 years; Master: 5+ years of sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and work from specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting and cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealants, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Safely operate brakes, presses, riveters, shears and other sheet-metal tools.
• Use basic computer skills to navigate training manuals and maintenance data bases.
• Communicate clearly in English and follow FAA guidelines.
