Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a Sheet Metal Technician to perform essential sheet metal operations on turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and support project supervision as needed. The role requires basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft structures and adherence to FAA guidelines.

You will be responsible for drilling, riveting, cutting, and applying sealants, while maintaining shop facilities and tools.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
• Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning, and repair of shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
• Any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.
