Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a Sheet Metal Technician to support turbine aircraft structures, blueprints, and drawings. You’ll perform drilling, riveting, cutting, and installation tasks on airframes while adhering to procedures and safety rules.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. Familiarity with sheet metal and basic computer tools is a plus, with opportunities for supervision of crews in busy projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Experience with sheet metal is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.
