Job summary

Baseten in San Francisco is hiring a People Operations Coordinator to own the onboarding experience for new hires, from offer to Day 1, and to help scale onboarding as the company grows. • 2–4 years in a high-volume coordination or operations role (People function preferred).
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented with a tactical, get-it-done approach.
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Extremely clear written communicator.

Responsibilities

• Own the full onboarding experience for every new hire, including day 1 communications, background checks, Form I-9s, HRIS setup, and travel coordination.
• Support day one and SF Week One onboarding programs, coordinating with managers and buddies, room booking, and start location logistics.
• Partner with IT and Workplace to ensure access, equipment, and desk readiness on day one.
• Manage onboarding platform logistics and vendor relationships on a day-to-day basis.
• Support broader employee lifecycle tasks as the role evolves, including changes in role or location moves.
• Propose automations and process improvements to streamline onboarding tasks.
