Job summary

MISO is seeking a Software Engineer III (ServiceNow) to design and build ServiceNow applications, support ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CMDB integrations, and advance platform capabilities. You’ll connect ServiceNow with third‑party systems via REST APIs and Integration Hub, and apply AI features like Virtual Agent and Otto to automate workflows.

The role requires five years of development experience, strong Agile skills, and knowledge of container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field and at least five years of development experience.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model, Virtual Agent, Otto, and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred; ITIL v4 Foundation, CSA, CAD certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and build ServiceNow applications to support ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB and new platform capabilities with high performance and reliability.
Create and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
Leverage ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Virtual Agent and Otto, to automate workflows and processes.
Ensure data integrity and security within ServiceNow with validation and access controls.
Collaborate in an Agile environment; mentor junior engineers; participate in design reviews; monitor production applications.
