Job summary

MISO is transforming electric grid operations by building a modern ServiceNow platform. As a Software Engineer III (ServiceNow) you will design and implement ServiceNow applications, integrate with REST APIs, and leverage Flow Designer to deliver reliable ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CMDB capabilities.

You will work in an Agile team, mentor juniors, and apply AI features like Virtual Agent and Otto to streamline workflows while safeguarding data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science and related field.
• Hands-on ServiceNow development experience including ITSM/ITOM/ITAM/CMDB.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Integration Hub and Flow Designer, plus agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ServiceNow applications to support ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, Security Operations and new platform capabilities.
• Write, test, debug, document, and support ServiceNow features using JavaScript, Glide APIs, and Flow Designer.
• Create and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
• Leverage ServiceNow AI capabilities to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity and security within ServiceNow by applying validation, access controls, and architectural standards.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with architects, product owners, engineers, and business partners; mentor junior engineers.
