Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Software Engineer III (ServiceNow) to design, build, and integrate ServiceNow solutions for ITSM, ITOM, and related platform capabilities. You will connect ServiceNow with external systems, apply AI features, and ensure secure, scalable delivery in an Agile environment.

The role requires 5+ years of development experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, with certifications such as CSA/CAD/ITIL preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; 5+ years development experience.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with third‑party systems using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and other methods.
• Familiarity with Common Service Data Model, Virtual Agent, Otto; container tech like Docker/Kubernetes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build ServiceNow applications to support ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, Security Operations, and more.
• Create and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third‑party systems using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
• Leverage ServiceNow AI capabilities to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity and security within ServiceNow by applying validation and access controls.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment; mentor junior engineers; participate in design reviews; monitor production apps.
