Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years in configuration management or CMDB-related ITSM roles.
• Hands-on with CM tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and PM skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to document processes and reports.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model, class structures, and relationships.
• Establish and enforce configuration management policies and naming conventions.
• Integrate CM data with change, incident, and problem workflows for impact analysis.
• Conduct regular configuration audits and remediation activities with owning teams.
• Collaborate with platform admins to implement CMDB in ServiceNow, discovery, mapping, and normalization.
• Produce configuration reports and visualizations for capacity planning and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with change, incident, and release management to keep CMDB current across lifecycle.
• Lead CMDB implementation, remediation, and continuous-improvement across hybrid infra.
