Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Manager to oversee enterprise CMDB governance in a federal IT environment. You will design the CMDB, enforce ITIL-aligned policies, and collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to prevent configuration drift and improve incident response.

Responsibilities include audits, data normalization, and integrating CMDB data with change and release workflows to support risk assessment and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT-related field.
• At least 8 years in configuration management / CMDB administration.
• Strong understanding of configuration management concepts and ITIL.
• Experience with ServiceNow or BMC Remedy platforms.
• Ability to lead initiatives and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB data model, structures, and relationships.
• Establish and enforce ITIL-based configuration management policies.
• Integrate CMDB data with change, incident, and problem workflows.
• Conduct regular configuration audits and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with platform admins to optimize CMDB in ServiceNow.
• Produce reports and visualizations for risk, capacity, and compliance.
• Coordinate with ITIL processes to keep configuration data current.
• Lead CMDB implementation and remediation across hybrid environments.
