Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years in configuration management or CMDB roles in enterprise IT.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITSM governance and frameworks.
• Experience with ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for CMDB tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB data model, structures, and relationship mappings for infrastructure and application configuration items.
• Establish and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and naming conventions aligned to ITIL guidance and enterprise architecture standards.
• Integrate configuration data with change, incident, and problem workflows to support accurate impact analysis, dependency mapping, and rapid fault isolation for mission‑critical services.
• Conduct regular configuration audits, reconciliations, and baseline reviews to detect inconsistencies, unauthorized changes, and data quality issues, driving remediation activities with owning teams.
• Work closely with platform administrators to implement and optimize CMDB capabilities in tools such as ServiceNow, including discovery, service mapping, and data normalization.
• Produce configuration reports and visualizations that support capacity planning, risk assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance activities in highly regulated environments.
• Coordinate with other ITIL processes, including change, incident, and release management, to ensure configuration data remains accurate and up to date throughout the service lifecycle.
• Lead or contribute to CMDB implementation, remediation, and continuous‑improvement initiatives across hybrid on‑premises and cloud infrastructures.
