Job summary

Birge & Held in Dublin, OH is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain and enhance the community’s physical assets. You will repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and perform routine maintenance, while ensuring timely completion of service requests and collaboration with the operations team.

Reports to the Operations Manager and supports ground keeping, safety, and resident experience. Must have two years of apartment maintenance experience and own basic hand tools; EPA refrigerant

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of apartment maintenance experience.
• EPA certification required for refrigerant handling, or willingness to obtain.
• HVAC certification, preferred.
• For positions that require travel between properties, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Above average oral communication skills.
• Provide your own hand tools including but not limited to power drills, impacts, and all non-powered hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies, procedures, and laws (Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA).
• Maintain clean, safe, and visually appealing common areas and units.
• Perform repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds.
• Ensure unit turnovers within five working days.
• Complete work orders promptly and report delays.
• Coordinate tasks with operations staff and maintenance teams.
• Maintain grounds and support other Birge & Held assets.
• Submit required forms and reports on time.
• Participate in after-hours on-call maintenance emergencies.
