Job summary

Birge & Held, a leading multifamily operator in Dayton, OH, seeks a Service Technician III to maintain Chesapeake Landing and other properties. You will ensure safety, perform HVAC/plumbing tasks, and support resident satisfaction through timely service requests.

The role requires two years of maintenance experience, EPA and HVAC certifications, a valid driver’s license, and a strong eye for detail and teamwork across the maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of apartment maintenance experience.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements.
• Inspect buildings and common areas for safety and visual appeal.
• Complete work orders promptly and update progress with the team.
• Maintain community grounds and assist other assets as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
