Job summary

Birge & Held, Park 33 in Goshen, IN, is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain the community’s physical assets and ensure high resident satisfaction. This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong technical skills, timely completion of service requests, and collaboration with team members.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of apartment maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license. HVAC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of demonstrated success in apartment maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification is required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• HVAC certification is preferred.
• If travel between properties is required, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws (Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA).
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of buildings and common areas.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC units, electrical and plumbing systems, and grounds.
• Complete work orders promptly and provide progress updates to operations staff.
• Oversee grounds and site maintenance; assist other assets as needed.
• Submit required forms and reports accurately and timely.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies.
