Job summary

Westdale is seeking a Service Technician I for our 314-unit apartment community in Shreveport, LA. The role involves turning vacant units into ready homes, maintaining grounds and common areas, and supporting the Community Manager and Service Supervisor.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team, and are prepared for on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience on an apartment community.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas and picking up trash and debris.
• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $18.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
***Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.***

As Service Technician I, you will turn vacant units into beautiful apartments, preparing them for new residents to call home. You will also be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds and common areas. Requirements

• At least 1year of previous maintenance experience on an apartment community.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call one week a month for emergencies.

Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm; Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call one week a month for emergencies.
