Job summary

Westdale Asset Management in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Service Technician I for our 314-unit apartment community. You will prepare vacant units for new residents and maintain property grounds and common areas, contributing to a clean, welcoming environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, the ability to work independently or in a team, and a willingness to be on-call. Benefits and opportunities to advance are offered by the company.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience on an apartment community.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call one week a month for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas as well as picking up trash and debris.
• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $18.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
***Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.***

We are seeking a Service Technician I for our 314-unit apartment community ideally located in Shreveport! As Service Technician I, you will turn vacant units into beautiful apartments, preparing them for new residents to call home. You will also be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds and common areas.
