Position Overview

Mission: Maximize the sustainable growth of our VTS business across the Mid-Atlantic Territory by promoting solution sales of service products to new and existing customers, in accordance with business plans. The work location is remote, preferably based in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or northern Virginia.

Broad Activities

The Service Sales Engineer (SSE) will be provided with tools and support to succeed and grow within the organization. The role involves understanding our After Market and Service Sales strategy and developing key sales behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upsell and promote proactive service products such as service plans, pump exchanges, certified units, field services, parts, and oil.
  • Strategically grow the business by analyzing and developing our pump install base.
  • Expand market share by seeking new customers and offering proactive services using our products.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities to meet financial targets and KPIs.
  • Create service plans and quotations using internal tools.
  • Maintain sales data in our CRM platform, managing appointments, reports, leads, opportunities, and quotations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships across the territory, ensuring excellent aftermarket service.
  • Identify and manage relationships with distributors and manufacturing reps.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, managers, and support services.
  • Attend sales meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to VTS, including new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide regular customer feedback and information.
  • Travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Note: This is not an IT/Software position.

Skills and Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of direct sales experience, selling service and/or capital equipment.
  • Ability to hunt for leads and pursue goals proactively.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and adaptable to new systems.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Innovative mindset to improve business results.
  • Team-oriented with collaborative working skills.

Must be authorized to work in the US.
