Mission:

Maximize the sustainable growth of our VTS business across the Mid-Atlantic Territory by promoting solution sales of service products to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans. Work location is remote, with a preference for the successful candidate to be based in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or northern Virginia.

Broad Activities:

The Service Sales Engineer (SSE) position will be provided the tools and support necessary to be successful and grow within the organization. The SSE will gain a deep understanding of our After Market and Service Sales strategy, while having the opportunity to hone and develop key sales behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Upsell and promote our proactive service products - service plans, pump exchanges, certified units, field services, parts, and oil.
  2. Strategically grow the business through analysis and development of our pump install base.
  3. Expand market share by proactively seeking new customers not identified in the pump install base and/or using competitive products which we are capable of providing proactive services.
  1. Plan and prioritize sales activities towards achieving agreed business financial targets and KPIs, managing personal time and productivity.
  1. Create service plans and quotations using our internal quoting tool.
  1. Capture and maintain sales data in our CRM platform, including planning appointments, visit reports, leads, opportunities, and quotations.
  1. Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the territory to ensure excellent aftermarket service.
  1. Identify and manage distributors and manufacturing representatives.
  1. Collaborate effectively with your service and divisional colleagues, managers, and support services. Be an effective leader.
  1. Attend sales meetings and undertake subsequent actions.
  1. Undertake ad-hoc project work related to VTS, including new products and marketing campaigns.
  1. Provide customer feedback regularly.
  1. Travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  1. Other duties as assigned.

Note: This is not an IT/Software related position.

Skills/Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct sales experience, selling service and/or capital equipment.
  • Ability to exhibit a hunting mentality when sourcing leads and pursuing goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills for building long-term customer and territory plans.
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Passion for service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and ability to learn additional systems.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to embrace change and innovate for business success.
  • Team-oriented mindset, collaborative, with a focus on results.

Must be authorized to work in the US.
