Mission:

Maximize the sustainable growth of our VTS business across the Mid-Atlantic Territory, by promoting solution sales of service products to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans. The work location is remote, with a preference for the successful candidate to be based in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Northern Virginia.

Broad Activities:

The Service Sales Engineer (SSE) position will be provided the tools and support necessary to be successful and grow within the organization. The SSE will gain a deep understanding of our After Market and Service Sales strategy, while having the opportunity to hone and develop key sales behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upsell and promote our proactive service products - service plans, pump exchanges, certified units, field services, parts, and oil.
  • Strategically grow the business through analysis and development of our pump install base.
  • Expand market share by proactively seeking new customers not identified in the pump install base and/or using competitive products which we are capable of providing proactive services.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities towards achieving agreed business financial targets and KPIs, managing personal time and productivity.
  • Create service plans and quotations using our internal quoting tool.
  • Capture and maintain sales data in our CRM platform, including planning of appointments, visit reports, leads, opportunities, and quotations.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the territory and ensure an excellent standard of aftermarket service.
  • Identify and manage distributors and manufacturing representative companies.
  • Collaborate effectively with service and divisional colleagues, managers, and support services. Be an effective leader.
  • Attend sales meetings and undertake subsequent actions.
  • Undertake ad-hoc project work related to VTS, including new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide customer feedback regularly.
  • Be prepared for intensive travel, including overnights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: This is not an IT/Software related position.

Skills/Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct sales experience, selling service and/or capital equipment.
  • Ability to exhibit a hunting mentality when sourcing leads and pursuing goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to build long-term plans for customers and the territory.
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Passion for service and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and the ability to learn additional systems.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to embrace change and create innovative ways for success.
  • Focus on team success, working collaboratively and seeking better results.

Must be authorized to work in the US.
