Job Title: Service Sales Engineer (SSE)

Mission:

Maximize the sustainable growth of our VTS business across the Mid-Atlantic Territory by promoting solution sales of service products to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans. The work location is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Northern Virginia.

Broad Activities:

The Service Sales Engineer (SSE) will be provided with the necessary tools and support to succeed and grow within the organization. The role involves gaining a deep understanding of our After Market and Service Sales strategy, while developing key sales behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upsell and promote proactive service products, including service plans, pump exchanges, certified units, field services, parts, and oil.
  • Strategically grow the business through analysis and development of our pump install base.
  • Expand market share by seeking new customers and using competitive products for proactive services.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities to meet financial targets and KPIs, managing time and productivity effectively.
  • Create service plans and quotations using internal tools.
  • Capture and maintain sales data in our CRM platform, including appointments, visit reports, leads, opportunities, and quotations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships across the territory.
  • Identify and manage distributors and manufacturing representatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, managers, and support teams.
  • Attend sales meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to VTS, including new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide regular customer feedback and information.
  • Travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: This position is not related to IT or software.

Skills and Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of direct sales experience, selling service and/or capital equipment.
  • Ability to source leads proactively and pursue goals with a hunting mentality.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills for long-term planning.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Passion for service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and other relevant systems.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Innovative mindset to improve business results and embrace change.
  • Collaborative team player focused on achieving shared success.

Must be authorized to work in the US.
