Job summary

A1 Garage Door is seeking a Service Manager to provide direct oversight of field teams, oversee fleet and inventory, and manage budgets and supplier relationships. You will lead hiring, coaching, and development to build a high-performing service organization.

You will supervise service technicians and maintenance staff, drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction while promoting the company’s vision and values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years managerial experience supervising and coaching a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
• Proficient in using CRM systems, specifically Service Titan.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and guidance to up to 20 field employees including service and maintenance technicians.
• Oversee batch/deposits activities, track Divvy expenses, and handle purchasing.
• Monitor budgets and review profit and loss statements.
• Actively manage and optimize fleet operations.
• Order and organize non-inventory items as needed.
• Audit inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse space and ensure safety standards.
• Provide ongoing performance management through weekly 1:1s and coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Participate in hiring events, recruit, interview, and onboard/offboard employees.
• Develop Apprentices into Technicians and advance staff to supervisory roles.
