Job summary

A1 Garage Door is seeking a Service Manager to oversee field teams, manage budgets, and optimize operations across multiple markets. You will coach technicians, handle inventory, and drive safe, efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years managerial experience in a team setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend and apply relevant laws, guidelines, and policies.
• Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software (Service Titan).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight to up to 20 field employees (service/maintenance technicians).
• Oversee batch/deposits, tracking expenses, and purchasing.
• Track budgets and profit and loss statements.
• Actively monitor and manage the fleet.
• Order and organize non-inventory items.
• Audit inventory counts and disposition discrepancies.
• Organize warehouse space and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Provide performance management guidance via weekly 1:1s and coaching/PIPs.
• Lead hiring events, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding/offboarding.
• Develop Apprentices into Technicians and progression to Sr. Techs/ Supervisors.
