Job summary

A1 Garage Door is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead daily dispatch operations, optimize schedules, and ensure service excellence across the organization. You will drive routing, capacity planning, and real-time adjustments to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

You'll manage and develop the dispatch team, partner with People and Culture on hiring and training, and own SOPs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to support growth and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dispatch or service operations experience, including at least 3 years leading teams.
• Experience owning operational KPIs, staffing plans, and labor cost management.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to align teams across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
• Direct assistant managers and dispatchers to optimize schedules in real time.
• Manage technician routing, capacity, and schedule flow.
• Resolve escalated scheduling conflicts and customer-impacting issues.
• Maintain documentation of schedules, ETAs, statuses, and follow-ups.
• Track dispatch KPIs and address performance gaps.
• Develop and coach the dispatch team with regular feedback.
• Hire on-boarding and training with People and Culture.
• Lead SOPs and dispatch system implementations.
• Collaborate with other departments for alignment.
