Job summary

CarMax in Carrollton, GA is seeking a Service Operations Support Manager in Training to help drive operational excellence and develop leaders within the Service Operations team.

You will partner with the Operations Manager to lead teams, maintain inventory, and advance continuous improvement initiatives, while delivering strong customer experiences and safety compliance. This role requires adaptability for varied shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Ability to lead teams to achieve production goals and maintain operational standards.
• Skilled in reading, interpreting, and maintaining accurate data records.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic work setting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and associate interactions.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including noisy or inclement conditions, with flexible scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays) and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage associates to achieve production targets and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Provide coaching and feedback through formal and informal observations to support associate development.
• Participate in hiring and training processes to build a strong, high-performing team.
• Monitor and maintain key performance measures to ensure operational success.
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, delivering exceptional service.
• Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for the department and/or location.
