Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Manager to lead the maintenance and service operations for occupied single-family homes across its portfolio. The role includes directing a team, managing service requests, and ensuring high resident satisfaction while coordinating with vendors and internal partners.

The position requires strong vendor management, knowledge of housing regulations, and the ability to oversee inspections and training programs for the service team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing service, operations and maintenance in multi-family or single-family housing
• EPA certified to handle refrigerants
• Valid Driver's License
• Flexible hours including some weekends and evenings
• Ability to review cost estimates and scopes of work

Responsibilities

• Manage service jobs to provide outstanding customer service and timely resolution to resident requests
• Monitor response times, resident satisfaction and portfolio productivity
• Review schedules and approve third party vendors and invoices for completed work
• Provides technical support to service technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and repair
• Ensure training compliance for the service team
• Oversee housing inspections and HUD/HQS compliance
• Coordinate activities to maximize process efficiency
• Manage vendor relations and negotiate pricing
