Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Manager to lead the management of service jobs and preventative maintenance for occupied single-family rental homes across our portfolio. You will supervise a regional team, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely, high-quality repairs and inspections to maximize resident satisfaction.

The role requires extensive experience in service operations, knowledge of lease requirements, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing service, operations and maintenance in multi-family, single family, military housing or equivalent
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• EPA certified to handle refrigerants
• Valid Driver's License required
• Flexible hours including some weekends/evenings
• Support for after-hours service technicians and/or vendors
• Ability to review cost estimates and scopes of work in line with current labor rates
• Strong communication and Excel skills
• Experience with Salesforce and/or Yardi is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of lease documents and resident rules and regulations
• Manage Service jobs to provide outstanding customer service and timely resolution to resident requests on occupied homes
• Monitor and manage response times, resident satisfaction and overall productivity within the portfolio
• Review schedules and approve third party vendor pricing, resident charge backs and invoices for completed work
• Provide technical support to service technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and repair of all service jobs
• Ensure training is completed in a timely manner for self and all team members supervised, while administering the training program for the service team
