Job summary

Storm Search LLC is seeking a Service Manager to oversee daily service department operations, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure profitable, high-quality service. The role manages work orders, invoicing, warranty claims, technician performance, training, safety, scheduling, and work-in-process.

You will coordinate with manufacturers and engineering teams, assist with technical issues, and work closely with employees and customers to address service needs effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent; or five years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment repair methods, materials, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, work orders, invoicing and billing.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Open and close work orders promptly to reduce aging work-in-process.
• Process invoices, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Diagnose basic issues and advise on repairs.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and engineering teams.
• Schedule staff and manage department workloads.
• Monitor productivity, expenses, gross margins, and billing efficiency.
• Lead technician training and safety meetings.
• Maintain inventory, tools, and service vehicles.
• Prepare reports and maintain records.
