Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the servicing of company and customer equipment in a timely, effective manner. You will manage repairs, schedule work, order parts, train staff mechanics and collaborate with vendors to understand new equipment requirements.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, accurate service records, and comprehensive reporting on fleet and maintenance performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment and yard organization.
• Prepare work schedules and service calls to meet customer needs.
• Order parts to maintain supplies and train staff mechanics.
• Work with vendors to learn maintenance needs of new equipment.
• Document equipment status before and after rental and handle customer complaints.
• Create, update and bill work orders and maintain service records.
• Promote safety awareness and perform quality control checks.
• Produce various reports (fleet status, repairs, inventory, etc.).
