Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment for both company-owned and customer assets. You will organize the yard, schedule service calls, order parts, and supervise staff mechanics to ensure timely availability and safety compliance.

You will work with equipment vendors, evaluate post-repair status, and maintain comprehensive service records while driving quality and efficiency across the service department.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Experience in inventory management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manages repair and maintenance of company owned and customer equipment.
• Prepares work schedules and handles service calls to meet customer needs.
• Orders parts to maintain adequate supplies and trains staff mechanics.
• Coordinates with vendors to learn maintenance requirements for new equipment.
• Documents equipment status before and after rental and handles customer complaints.
• Promotes safety and performs quality control checks.
