Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Service Leader to maintain a positive customer experience by ensuring safe, quality food is prepared and served while the restaurant crew is well trained and provides excellent service. The role involves keeping the line clean and equipment functioning, and stepping in to assist when busy.

The position requires strong cash handling knowledge, food safety awareness, and experience in a restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures.
• Have knowledge of Food Safety and health department matters.
• Have familiarity with office paperwork.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring safe and quality food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant crew well trained and provide good customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized line with properly functioning line equipment.
• Evaluate tasks when not busy and assist others as needed.
• Make sure great tasting, high quality food is served.
• Help resolve food quality issues.
• Support food safety through hand washing, glove changes, time/temperature checks, shelf life monitoring.
• Resolve customer incidents to ensure positive experiences.
• Monitor crew breaks, shift changes, and line schedules.
• Develop and cross-train all front of house crew.
• Assist with crew performance reviews.
• Develop future Service Leaders.
• Assist with office administration tasks like banking, cash handling policies, and paperwork.
• Ensure office equipment functions and supplies are stocked.
• Ensure adequate quantities of supplies are available.
