Job summary

Arizona Public Service Co. is seeking a project coordination professional to serve as liaison between APS and municipalities, contractors, and customers for new installations, upgrades, conversions, and relocations to electrical service.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating all facets from initiation through close-out. The role emphasizes customer service, design feasibility, cost awareness, and compliance with APS policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 2 years in customer-facing roles or construction.
• Must complete training program in 4–6 months.
• Familiarity with extension policies and service plan rates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and coordination for primary/service installation projects including upgrades, relocations, conversions, maintenance, street lights, dusk-to-dawn lights and new services.
• Determine best source of APS power, design, load analysis and voltage drop calculations, and ensure adherence to specifications and customer requests.
• Interface with customers and municipalities to assess needs, obtain plans/maps, and make key decisions regarding APS facilities layout.
• Evaluate need for easements and permits; process through APS right of way to obtain documents.
• Prepare work authorizations and job estimates; communicate charges in advance; prepare invoices and manage scheduling and billing per policies.
• Release completed work to construction; schedule work with crews and conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems; keep internal/external departments informed; may act as control desk/intake.
• May set up new CC&B accounts, create service orders, inspect fields, update databases, and close out projects.
