Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) in Phoenix seeks a Supervisor Construction Maintenance to lead overhead and underground electric distribution construction and maintenance. You will coordinate crews, garage and field operations to deliver safe, reliable service to customers.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a solid understanding of utility operations, safety standards, and labor agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Four-year electrical apprenticeship Journeyman plus 3 years of related experience in transmission and distribution facilities.
• Seven years combined education and experience in design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate line crews and servicemen to ensure fully staffed construction teams.
• Minimize customer outages through proper operating and restoration procedures.
• Control costs by scheduling resources to maximize productivity while maintaining customer service.
• Resolve differences by open communication and accurate interpretation of policies and labor agreements.
• Maintain effective vehicle and equipment fleets and ensure preventative maintenance programs.
• Promote safety awareness through meetings and safe work procedures.
• Support emergent restoration efforts and after-hours duties and union crews as needed.
• May participate in local community boards and events.
