Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company in Flagstaff, AZ, seeks a field‑oriented Project Leader to coordinate resources for construction/maintenance across multiple crews. You will perform simple design tasks, order materials, and supervise safety and regulatory compliance while traveling to various project sites.

The majority of this role is field-based, with some after‑hours duties and a requirement to reside within 45 miles of the Flagstaff Office.

Qualifications

• Must have field and hands-on construction/maintenance experience.
• Experience with safety regulations and OSHA standards is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customer liaison on projects and ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Coordinate resources for construction projects to ensure staffing and budgeting.
• Order project materials with lead times to keep crews supplied.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance records and inspections when required.
• Provide design support for simple projects and assist with complex designs.
• Ensure safe and economical operation of sub-transmission and distribution systems during duty supervision.
• Facilitate open communication and interpret policies and labor agreements.
• Coordinate environmental and safety responsibilities, including training and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect trenches, panels, and facilities; coordinate maintenance and non-revenue work orders.
• Promote safety and conduct regular tailboards and safe work procedures.
• Maintain department documents and ensure inspections are completed on schedule.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent + 2 years utilities experience
