Job summary

TForce Freight, Inc. in Albany, NY seeks a part-time Supervisor, Service Center to oversee dock, P&D and road dispatch operations.

You will supervise and direct employees, ensure security and loss prevention, and implement safety procedures in line with company and government guidelines. You will coordinate with Central Dispatch to optimize freight movement, schedule staff, and meet productivity and service targets.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manages, plans, organizes, and directs assigned employees.
• Manages and implements security and loss prevention procedures.
• Prepares and manages safety procedures in accordance with TFF and government guidelines.
• Prepares and implements action plans to ensure the service center achieves planned productivity, load average, cube utilization, and service targets.
• Works with Central Dispatch to develop a line haul plan to effectively and efficiently move freight to destinations.
• Schedules employees in accordance with hours planning, TFFs run bid process, and service requirements.
