Job summary

Hrapply in the United States seeks an Operations Manager to plan, direct and optimize freight operations while aligning with cost budgets and service goals. You will implement the service center Operations plan and drive KPI attainment across variable attainment, stops per hour and miles per stop.

You will coordinate with Safety, Quality, HR and Sales, supervise staff, and manage audits to ensure adherence to policies and the Ward way of servicing customers first. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years working experience in the motor carrier industry.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work hours as required and travel if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control freight operations in line with our Cultural Beliefs.
• Coordinate and delegate the work of local operations across pickup/delivery, dock operations and linehaul timing.
• Support Operations and Sales efforts and participate in joint sales calls when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety audits, company policy and external regulations.
• Hold management accountable to achieve service center goals and report output at monthly reviews.
