Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the service center manager in leading employees across all service center functions. You will focus on timely, proper handling of shipments and provide administrative support to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will lead training, set expectations, monitor safety and security, collaborate with sales, and optimize staffing, routes, and equipment to meet customer needs while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year's experience in transportation operations leadership.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of LTL, DOT, OSHA, NMFC and tariff rules and company policies preferred.
• Able to work in a remote location, taking self initiative without requiring immediate local supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead service center employees in daily operations.
• Hold pre-shift meetings and align culture with vision.
• Ensure safety and clean/secure facility.
• Coordinate with sales to align operations with customers.
• Monitor efficiency and optimize routes, staffing, and assets.
• Review invoices and cost reports to manage budget.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
