Job summary

Bizerba in Joppa, Maryland is looking for a Service Billing Administrator to support accurate invoicing for retail and industrial service jobs. You will review service orders, generate invoices, and verify labor, parts, and travel for billing accuracy.

You will coordinate with field technicians and Accounts Receivable to resolve discrepancies, maintain billing records, and help with process improvements and training across Service Administration.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in service billing, invoicing, or AR; internship or coursework in accounting/finance a plus.
• Basic understanding of billing systems and general accounting principles; willingness to learn company-specific processes.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables); exposure to ERP or billing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review completed service orders and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to billing.
• Generate and process invoices for retail and industrial service jobs in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Verify labor, parts, travel, purchase orders, NTE limits, and technician documentation for billing accuracy.
• Coordinate with field service technicians to resolve missing or unclear information.
• Ensure work orders are billed accurately and within established timeframes.
• Identify and escalation billing discrepancies and assist with service quotes and billing-related inquiries.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable to resolve customer billing issues, short payments, and unapplied payments.
• Maintain accurate billing records and support process improvements, training, and other Service Administration activities.
