Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to act as the bridge between Service Technicians and customers in our state-of-the-art service departments. You’ll explain technician recommendations in plain language, identify upsell opportunities, and help keep vehicles safe by guiding customers through maintenance and service decisions.

Daily duties include scheduling, greeting customers, assessing vehicle needs, and producing transparent repair orders with time estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner on arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer info and a walk-around/inspections/test drives.
• Use consultative selling to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates and full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
