Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to bridge service technicians and customers on the shop floor. You will explain technician recommendations in clear, customer-friendly language and identify up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe and dependable.

You’ll set appointments, greet customers, assess vehicle needs via walk-arounds and tests, and coordinate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely completion of work. A positive, tech-savvy communicator shines here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and interest in working with technology.
• Valid in-state driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare appointments for customers
• Meet or exceed sales goals and customer satisfaction index
• Greet customers on arrival
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer information and a vehicle walk-around, inspections and test drives
• Use a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for ongoing required maintenance of their vehicle
• Produce repair orders for customers, including cost and time estimates, with full transparency
• Communicate frequently with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work
• Follow up with customers on the status of their vehicle and how they want to be informed
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help customers
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
