Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to act as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers in our state-of-the-art service departments. You will explain technician recommendations in plain language and help customers plan for ongoing maintenance while uncovering up-sell opportunities.

You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and drive satisfaction and loyalty through excellent service, transparent pricing, and strong product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• The willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner on arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information and walk-around/inspection/test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates, with full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
• Gain product knowledge to help customers and provide an exceptional experience.
