Job summary

AutoNation is looking for a Service Advisor to bridge the gap between customers and our service technicians, explaining recommendations in clear language and identifying upsell opportunities to keep vehicles safe.

You will schedule and prepare appointments, greet customers, assess vehicle needs, communicate with the service team, and follow up to ensure satisfaction, aiming to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive loyalty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments for customers.
• Meet or exceed sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor.
• Determine vehicle needs via information gathering, walk-around, inspections and test drives.
• Use consultative selling to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely work.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
• Gain knowledge to help customers effectively.
• Provide exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
