Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor in Fremont, CA to bridge the gap between customers and our service team. You’ll explain technician recommendations, identify maintenance needs, and upsell opportunities to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

Responsibilities include scheduling, meeting sales and CSI targets, greeting customers, preparing repair orders, and maintaining clear communication with technicians. A valid CA driver’s license is required, with a commission-based earning potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner on arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information, walk-arounds, inspections and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates, with full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely completion.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
