Job summary

AutoNation in California seeks a Service Advisor to bridge service technicians and customers. You’ll schedule and prep appointments, explain technician recommendations in clear terms, and identify up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

The role emphasizes delivering an exceptional customer experience, meeting sales and CSI targets, and using technology to access vehicle information. A high school diploma and valid in-state license are required; prior customer service or sales

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the CSI.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer information and a walk-around.
• Use a consultative selling process to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders for customers with cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely work.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
• Gain product knowledge to effectively help customers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
