Rush Truck Centers, part of Rush Enterprises, Inc., is hiring a Service Advisor for our Utah operations. The role focuses on selling and scheduling service work for commercial trucks and equipment, coordinating with the dealership service department to ensure timely, quality repairs.

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of service experience or equivalent education.
• Manufacturer training relevant to vehicle service is required.
• Valid CDL license is required.
• Driving record must be insurable by the company’s carrier.

Responsabilités

• Gather customer complaint details and expectations.
• Perform vehicle walk around inspection and verify vehicle information.
• Connect to J-Pro and perform on the spot vehicle diagnostics; print report; refer to service history and recommend needed service.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and the value of maintenance per manufacturer specs.
• Write up vehicle problems clearly on a service input card and obtain customer signatures.
• Establish promised time based on shop workflow and communicate with foreman.
• Establish customer payment method and obtain credit approval if necessary.
• Create repair orders in the business system and secure paperwork with customer signatures.
• Monitor progress and inform customers about changes in estimates or promised time; obtain authorization for additional work.
