Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Utah seeks a Service Advisor to coordinate customer service for commercial trucks. You will gather complaint details, perform walk-around inspections, and use J-Pro to diagnose issues, printing reports and referencing service history.

Maintain clear communication with customers about costs, timelines, and required approvals. You will prepare service input cards, confirm signatures, and schedule work.

Qualifications

• Gather customer concerns and expectations.
• Explain vehicle issues and recommended services.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Gather customer complaint details and expectations.
• Perform vehicle walk around inspection, verify vehicle information.
• Connect to J-Pro and perform on the spot vehicle diagnostics. Print report. Refer to service history (IE:SIR), recommend additional needed service.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Write up problems clearly on a service input card and obtain signatures.
• Establish promised time based on shop workflow and communicate with foreman.
• Establish payment method and obtain credit approval if needed.
• Create repair order in the system and secure documentation.
• Monitor progress and obtain authorization before additional repairs.
