Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) to drive cross-domain Zero Trust strategy and hands-on implementation across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains. This role responsibilities include defining policy, standards, integration requirements, and roadmaps; working with Network Operations, IAM, and security teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.

The position involves leading design reviews, coordinating across towers, and maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on enterprise network engineering/operations experience
• Zero Trust design, implementation, and operationalization across identity, device posture, network, cloud/security controls
• Leadership and governance in enterprise technical initiatives, ITIL/ServiceNow experience

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross-tower integration across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains
• Provide hands-on network engineering and operations support with Network Operations
• Define and lead Zero Trust integration requirements for firewall controls (Palo Alto) and ZIA/ZPA; ensure enterprise identity controls alignment
• Lead Zero Trust requirements for Aruba/ ClearPass NAC and secure access; hands-on engineering as needed
• Advance Zero Trust principles with least privilege, segmentation, continuous monitoring, and cross-domain integration
• Coordinate across Network Operations, IAM, Cloud, and Security to translate requirements into operational controls
• Lead architecture reviews, identify gaps/risks, and ensure capabilities are tested and ready for production
• Manage incidents involving access controls and cross-domain dependencies; participate in major incident bridges
